| Cosmic Child Dreaming - Outback Tour
We want to take you on an outback adventure with Martin Samson. The aim is to explore the relationship between western mystical tradition and Indigenous Wisdom. This journey will be an opening of the heart to spiritual revelation in nature.
Martin has pondered the relationship between the Western Christian tradition and Indigenous Dreaming for many years. He will lead a fifteen-day journey through the Flinders Ranges , along part of The Oodnadatta Track, Alice Springs , to Uluru and surroundings. The sites have been chosen as significant in creating this ‘cosmic child' within the greater birth mother of Australia .
You need to be in Adelaide Sunday August 3rd – 17th 2008. This trip can be done in conjunction with other travels you may plan. The tour will cost Aus$2,000.00 including food, travel accommodation and the guided tour. We will travel, walk, sit quietly, and take in stories and lectures around camp fires to deepen our own spiritual practices and understandings. Each day will be structured with structured morning content, walking, and travelling, then before dinner a formal two hour session about the etheric geography, dreaming stories and indigenous spirituality. The evenings will include camp fires and further talks.

HELP NEEDED
Offers of help for the outback tour of the Cosmic Child in August
During 2007 the community went on an outback tour to explore our spirituality in a Christian-indigenous way. This year the tour is being offered on a national and international scale. Dates are from 3 - 17 August 2008. I will need a team of people to help with the domestic details and I am canvassing for people interested in joining such a team. The number of team members will be dependent on how many people register for the tour. The number of registrations for the trip will determine either a full team of five or perhaps only two people.
At present some expressions of interest have been received from both Adelaide and interstate. I will select the people who will most suit the roles I need. Currently I need a support crew for setting up camps and organising the food. If you are interested in running camps, and/or organising food, and have first aid qualifications, please register your interest to be part of this wonderful outback adventure, with me by the end of April. I will then go through a selection process to choose the right combination for the team
ALTAR PICTURE NEW PROCESS
Over the last year the Committee has received of a number of letters about the status of our process of acquiring a new Altar Picture. After some consultation in the community the Committee has decided that we will re-open this process with a different approach.
The knowledge that it is an intention in The Christian Community that each altar and community find its own altar picture was the foundation of our past process. This knowledge is also the basis for our renewed efforts.
This time round we would like to find a new approach to our Altar Picture Process without negating or losing the work already done. The first step is to try and school our perceptions of various altar pictures and artistic styles already in use in The Christian Community around the world. To this end various pictures will be hung in the chapel and altar space for a period of three months each.
Once we have done this there will be opportunity for community conversation at ‘Dreaming Our Vision' meetings (second Sunday of the month) before the next picture is hung. We do not yet know when or how a picture will come about, but are aware that as a community we still want to work with the structuring and recreating of our altar space. Please do come along and perceive the pictures with open eyes and hearts and join in the journey of changing perceptions as a community.
